About your hosts.

Julie Martin and Patrick Connors purchased their stunning Gawler Park Road property in November of 2013, and having a desire to share the spoils of their scenic countryside, they commenced  renovations on a studio-style  guest residence at the summit of  the property.

The results speak for themselves, offering a country getaway that commands a sense of relaxation from the moment you arrive.

Both local Barossans born and bred,  Julie and Patrick have an intimate knowledge of all that Angaston and the surrounding towns within the Barossa Valley offer, and they are happy to direct you wherever your desire takes you.

Julie's occupation for most of her working life has been in the nursing industry, however,  she also spent many years co-owning and maintaining a large sheep and cattle property in the southeast.  Now, the country lifestyle has come full circle for Julie, as her family home where she grew up  is only metres from the property her and Patrick now own on Gawler Park Road.  Her love of this countryside is as vast and wide as the beautiful views, and as a tribute to her childhood home, the Bed and Breakfast residence is named after her family surname, Gabel.

Patrick is very much a 'Jack of all trades' and can turn his hand to most things he sets his mind to.  Beginning his working career in the hospitality industry, Paddy then transferred  into the wine industry, where he currently works as a successful Winemaker for a prominent Barossa Valley wine company.
